From the south A7 Kassel-Hannover via Göttingen to the Rhüden exit, via the B82 towards Goslar/Bad Harzburg onto the A36 towards Wernigerode/exit Stapelburg, Ilsenburg

From the east on the A14 to the Bernburg junction exit onto the new, completed A36 towards Braunschweig, as far as the Ilsenburg exit

From the west A2 to exit Hannover, via the A7 to exit Dreieck Salzgitter, via the B6 towards Goslar/Bad Harzburg onto the A36 towards Wernigerode/exit Stapelburg
